The dry pigeon pea or gungo pea is a shrubby legume with alternate trifoliolate leaves, similar to peas.
The dry pigeon pea is cultivated in the North of the country, basically in the departments of Lambayeque and Piura. It can be produced in all the country and up to 4 annual harvests can be obtained.
It doesn´t require too much care and is resistant to drought and high temperatures.
